So I’ve been living on my own for a few weeks now with roommates and everything. So when I first moved out I had $1,000 in my savings account. Now three weeks later I’m down to my last hundred. What happened? Where did all that money go in so little time? Well first frivolous spending. I was kicked out of my house so all my money went to living expenses. I did not realize that living on your own came with so many hidden expenses.I think everyday for the first week I spent $40 a day on something I “needed” tooth brushes, tooth paste, gas.
I had to stop spending it was hard, it is hard but I realized sooner rather than when my savings account reached zero. So what I’ve done is written down all my essential monthly needs and the plan is to not buy anything outside of these needs until I save up $1,000 again.
Hello you guys I haven’t been posting much lately because I have been going through some ups and downs. School, work and now I am on my own. I’ve been kicked out of my house and now I am bunking with a friend of mine with her own place in her living room. I’m currently sleeping on a blow up futon. But I’m not posting this to cry and bemoan my fate I’m posting this because now I’ll have to really put my budgeting skills to the test and move out of her place in a month, because her lease is up in April. So with that said be on the look out for some more financial info about how I make do on little to nothing and still maintain a healthy life style.
Black History class first thing in the morning. That lovely feeling when you wake up to a conversation about crazy white people cutting open an eight month pregnant black woman like a hog and crushing the head of the baby that falls out of her into the dirt.
